Training Objectives
The School of Specialization in Hospital Pharmacy aims to provide graduates in pharmaceutical disciplines with professional training useful for the performance of the profession within the hospital and territorial pharmaceutical facilities of the National Health Service. Specific areas of expertise are management of drugs and medical devices, production of drugs including experimental drugs, drug information and documentation, supervision of health care products, and supervision of pharmaceutical practice.
Requirements for admission
The course of study is reserved for graduates in the master's degree in Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy (Class 14/S), graduates in the master's degree class in Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy (Class LM13) as well as graduates of the system prior to DM 509/99 in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology or those who hold the degree (academic degree and habilitation) obtained at foreign universities and which is deemed to be equivalent, limited to the purposes of enrollment in the School.
For admission, possession of the Diploma of qualification to practice as a pharmacist is required; graduates who have not yet obtained the aforementioned qualification may participate "under condition" in the admission tests, with the obligation to pass the state exam by the date of enrollment.
Admission to the School
The School has a programmed number of places. There are 6 places available.
Access to the Course of Study is subject to passing the admission competition for qualifications and examinations announced by rectoral decree.

Duration and frequency
The School has a duration of 4 academic years that cannot be shortened.
Attendance at courses and laboratories and the professionalizing internship is mandatory and is deemed acquired with participation in at least 70% of each training activity.
Articulation of the School
Specialists will have to acquire 240 ECTS in total of which 168 ECTS are reserved for professionalizing activities aimed at the acquisition of specific professional skills in the field of elective practical and internship activities and 72 ECTS to theoretical lectures or exercises.
Theoretical and practical activities are carried out in the University facilities and in the facilities of the National Health Service present in the training network that includes the facilities of the Local Health Authorities and the Hospital Authorities of Parma and Piacenza.
The training path of the trainee is determined by the School Council and is carried out under the guidance of tutors designated by the Council, in compliance with the rules governing the relationship with the National Health Service.
Achievement of title
To obtain the specialist degree, the trainee, after completing and passing the final year's examination, must take the final examination, which consists of the discussion of the specialist thesis.
Student representation elections
The elections for the appointment of No. 3 student representatives to the Board of the School of Hospital Pharmacy for the biennium 2023-2025 are called for May 10, 2023.
The elections will be held in electronic mode via the Eligo platform.
Voters will be able to exercise their right to vote from 9.00 to 16.00 on May 10, 2023.
