The 3rd International TB-meeting “Inhaled Therapies for Tuberculosis and Other Infectious Diseases”

The Interuniversity Consortium for Innovative Pharmaceutical Technologies, TEFARCO Innova jointly organizes with Biopharmanet-TEC and Chiesi the "3rd International TB-meeting “Inhaled Therapies for Tuberculosis and Other Infectious Diseases”.

This Meeting will see the contribution of a group of high-level experts on the aerosol therapy for the treatment of tuberculosis and other pulmonary infections. Four main sessions will be focusing on: Tuberculosis pathophysiology and mechanisms of mucosal immunity; Inhaled therapies: small molecules, peptides, nucleic acids, phages; Inhaled therapies: non-clinical and clinical evaluations; Formulations and devices for tuberculosis and other pulmonary infections.

The Meeting will be held in Parma (Italy) from the 14th to the 16th of October 2015. The venue will be the STARHOTELS Du Parc, Viale Piacenza 12/C, Parma.

The deadline for abstract submission has been extended till the 31st of August 2015.

As part of the PhD program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, of Biomolecules and Health Products, Monday, June 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Department of Pharmacy will be held a seminar by Dr. Zadeo Cimarosti, Senior Manager Head of API Development and Manufacturing Aptuit Verona - Italy, entitled:

Introduction to the Quality by Design (QbD) principles and their application.

Giannamaria Annunziato: "Design and synthesis of brefeldin A (BFA) analogues as potential anti-cancer agents"
Elisa Azzali: "Interest: Innovative Therapeutics for the Eradication of Resistant Tuberculosis"
Sabrina Tassini: "Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new broad-spectrum antivirals for the treatment of enterovirus and rhinovirus infections".

 

As part of activities of the PhD program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, of Biomolecules and health products (XXIX cycle), Monday February 16, 2015 at 15:00 pm in the classroom I of the Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Andrea Grandi will hold a seminar of the progress of research on the topic: "Nicotinic modulation of immune and inflammatory responses in a model of intestinal inflammation".

 

Within the activities the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, of Biomolecules and Health Products and the National Consortium of Innovative Pharmaceutical Technologies "TEFARCO Innova"Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 10:30 am at the classroom C of the Department of Pharmacy, Professor Claudiu Supuran of the Neurofarba Department of the University of Florence will hold a seminar entitled:
Carbonic anhydrases as drug targets.
